Eric does not support new taxes!  In good or bad economic times, government should be engaging in cost-cutting efforts instead of looking for a tax increases.  Eric will work hard to ensure that the state government will be a faithful steward of our tax dollars by evaluating where your taxes are spent and ensuring a positive return on tax-payers’ investments.

As a small business owner Eric understands that the economic engine of Springfield and the surrounding area is small businesses. We must fight taxes and unnecessary regulations that harm small businesses.  A low tax burden on businesses helps employees, helps the employers, and helps the State by adding tax paying jobs to Missouri.

Eric learned about the power of the competitive market and free enterprise while earning a Masters in Business Administration from Missouri State University. He believes that Government tries too often to do things and solve problems that could be better solved in the private economy. Government bureaucrats are all too willing to step into problems and absorb more taxes. Government should not attempt to perform the duties and roles that can be done by private citizens and free enterprise. Eric understands that economies soar in areas where taxes are low and regulations are few.
